Und-raja-varam is a village and a mandal in West Godavari district in the state of Andhra Pradesh in India. [1]
[edit] History
Many villages derive their name from a mythical war between Tarka-sena (Often referred to as Tarak-asura). Asuras are demons, and Tarakasena was made a demon after his defeat in a great war between him and Lord Kumaraswamy (Subramaniam swamy), the son of Lord Shiva and Parvathi.
The place where Uraga Raju resided is known as Undrajavaram. In older times the present-day Palangi was known as Poolangi (Stall of Flowers) and Chivatam was known as Srivatam (the Financial Centre). The paddy repository of the kingdom is now Vadluru.
