"Underground" is a song performed by Ben Folds Five released on their 1995 album Ben Folds Five[1] Written by Ben Folds [2]. It peaked at #37 on the UK Singles Chart [3]. An early live version appears on the album Naked Baby Photos[4]. The opening line "I was never cool in school/I'm sure you don't remember me" is answered by a fan with "who the fuck are you?". This statement is frequently shouted by fans at Ben Folds concert to this day when the song is performed.
