Under a Pale Grey Sky is a live album by Sepultura, released September 24, 2002 through Roadrunner Records. The album was recorded in the Brixton Academy, London on December 16, 1996, the night that Max Cavalera left the band.
This album was released by Roadrunner Records after dropping Sepultura from the label. The current members of the band do not list this album as part of their discography.
The set list for the show sees the band play the majority of that year's Roots album, as well as the most popular songs from their previous albums, some of which are merged into medleys. It is worth noting that what is listed as "Desperate Cry" on the album's sleeve barely resembles the actual song. Sepultura also plays a few cover songs. A section of Led Zeppelin's Dazed And Confused. It is also of interest that there are a few mistakes made during the concert, most noticeably during the opening of "Troops Of Doom".
The album's title is an homage to U2's live album, Under a Blood Red Sky. Aside from being similar, it is also a lyric taken from one of Sepultura's best-known songs - Arise. It has sold over 250,000 copies and has went gold in Brazil.
