Under Secretary of Commerce for Industry and Security

The Under Secretary for Industry and Security is a high-ranking official in the United States Department of Commerce. The Under Secretary is responsible for policy and day-to-day operation of the Bureau of Industry and Security, which advances U.S. national security, foreign policy, and economic objectives by ensuring an effective export control and treaty compliance system and promoting continued U.S. strategic technology leadership.

Mark Foulon has served as Deputy Under Secretary for Industry and Security since November, 2003, and is currently serving as the acting Under Secretary.
