Talk:Underutilized crops
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Hmm, I am a little bit confused from this term how it is explained, cus unederutilized crops should be crops, which are no longer in use i so big scale as they was. And in contrary Neglected crops are crops which are just grown in a "tinny" scale.--Juan de Vojníkov 16:31, 30 May 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Merge proposal
Rationale: both articles are more like wiktionary entries, but together they have a better chance of becoming encyclopedic. Zab 03:29, 13 June 2007 (UTC)
- Merge - While I disagree that Underutilized crops reads like a wiktionary entry, the neglected crops article is clearly a stub, and I see no reason not to merge it into this article. Waitak 17:43, 15 June 2007 (UTC)
- Merge to wikitionary. The terms "underutilized" and "neglected" are completely subjective. Except for the explanation of Underutilized being an official UN term, etc., there is no way to make a NPOV article about "Underutilized crops". Merge to wikitionary. - Merge - We've kinda been over this before... The term "underutilized" was defined precisely, and in keeping with its usage among UN and other organizations that focus on such crops. I do see that it's easy to conclude that there's "no way" to make an NPOV article, at least in the abstract... but it's hard to argue that the actual article is POV. I have no objection to merging neglected crops into underutilized crops, but strongly object to merging either into wiktionary. As an aside, the article was written to give a little more in-depth explanation for Category:Underutilized crops, for which it's the main article. Waitak 02:02, 19 September 2007 (UTC)
