[edit] Novel adaptation?

Wasn't this series based on a novel? I remember reading it and loving it although I never saw the series. Does anyone know which came first? Also, does anyone know whethere these series can be got on DVD? ThePeg 30.6.2006

If you happened to have read the article on Maurice Gee you would have seen the novel listed there. I have added this information to the intro. Shoehorn 18:33, 30 June 2006 (UTC)
Presume then that a link from the Maurice Gee page should be added, but would it be appropriate to do the link direct from the novel or as a sundry piece of information on his page? KevinCarmody 03:47, 2 July 2006 (UTC)
Probably best to add an "Adaptations" section to the Gee article rather than propagate a new page. Given his popularity there are probably other adaptations. Shoehorn 07:11, 2 July 2006 (UTC)
Should probably say, done that now. KevinCarmody 02:47, 12 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Answer to above question

The book was written first, and the series was adapted from the book by a different writer. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 218.101.90.62 (talk) 13:00, 10 January 2008 (UTC)
