North Dakota pottery

Portion used

This appears to be an image of the entire historic stamp.

Low resolution?
Purpose of use

This image is used in the North Dakota Pottery article because UND Pottery is perhaps the most famous collection of pottery ever produced in the state of North Dakota and UND Pottery figures very prominently in the article. The stamp is a way to visually identify one of the main subjects of this article. It is important to not just describe the stamp that the University used in the past, but to also show it. Also, this is a historic stamp...it is no longer in use by UND. Today, pottery pieces do not carry any specific stamp. The fact that this is a historic stamp and is no longer in use perhaps also makes its inclusion in the North Dakota Pottery article more acceptable.

Replaceable?

Because this image is no longer in use by the UND Pottery department, it would be difficult to replace it.
