[edit] Copyright problem: International Standards of Accounting and Reporting (ISAR)
Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! We welcome and appreciate your contributions, such as International Standards of Accounting and Reporting (ISAR), but we regretfully cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from either web sites or printed material. This article appears to be a copy from http://www.unctad.org/Templates/Page.asp?intItemID=2905&lang=1, and therefore a copyright violation. The copyrighted text has been or will soon be deleted.
If you believe that the article is not a copyright violation, or if you have permission from the copyright holder to release the content freely under the GNU Free Documentation License (GFDL) then you should do one of the following:
-
- If you have permission from the author leave a message explaining the details at Talk:International Standards of Accounting and Reporting (ISAR) and send an email with the message to "permissions-en (at) wikimedia (dot) org". See Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for instructions.
- If a note on the original website states that re-use is permitted under the GFDL or released into the public domain leave a note at Talk:International Standards of Accounting and Reporting (ISAR) with a link to where we can find that note.
- If you own the copyright to the material: send an e-mail from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en(at)wikimedia(dot)org or a postal message to the Wikimedia Foundation permitting re-use under the GFDL, and note that you have done so on Talk:International Standards of Accounting and Reporting (ISAR).
It is also important that the text be modified to have an encyclopedic tone and that it follows Wikipedia article layout. For more information on Wikipedia's policies, see Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
If you would like to begin working on a new version of the article you may do so at Talk:International Standards of Accounting and Reporting (ISAR)/Temp. Leave a note at Talk:International Standards of Accounting and Reporting (ISAR) saying you have done so and an administrator will move the new article into place once the issue is resolved. Thank you, and please feel welcome to continue contributing to Wikipedia. Happy editing! - CobaltBlueTony™ talk 13:59, 25 March 2008 (UTC)
Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia!
I hope not to seem unfriendly or make you feel unwelcome, but I noticed your username, and I am concerned that it might not meet Wikipedia's username policy for the following reason: similar to name of related org to your article. After you look over that policy, could we discuss that concern here?
I'd appreciate learning your own views, for instance your reasons for wanting this particular name, and what alternative username you might accept that avoids raising this concern.
You have several options freely available to you:
- If you can relieve my concern through discussing it here, I can stop worrying about it.
- If the two of us can't agree here, we can ask for help through Wikipedia's dispute resolution process, such as requesting comments from other Wikipedians. Wikipedia administrators usually abide by agreements reached through this process.
- You can keep your contributions history under a new username. Visit Wikipedia:Changing username and follow the guidelines there.
Thank you. - CobaltBlueTony™ talk 13:59, 25 March 2008 (UTC)
Hi, many apologies for all the rookie errors. I'm clearly new to this. I'm not even sure how to reply to your messages properly (there is no "reply" button, so I guess I just edit this page). I'm happy to cooperate on all points that you've raised.
Re: Copyright: have submitted alternative and original text on the temp page. If you could just delete my original copy paste job and replace it with the alternative original text, that would be helpful.
Re: username: point taken, will create a new user name.
Thank you for your prompt and helpful feedback.

How may I help you? Southern Illinois SKYWARN (talk) 15:40, 26 March 2008 (UTC)
- Hi Unctad. Replying to messages here is fine, but you may get faster responses by posting directly to the editors' discussion (or talk) page instead. In this case User talk:Cobaltbluetony, which you could also find by clicking the "talk" in his signature. Your content has been removed from International Standards of Accounting and Reporting (ISAR), but I'm not sure what "temp page" you're talking about with the modified content. The best thing for you to do is edit the article yourself with the new content, but if you're having trouble doing that please give me a link to the temp page you reference. - Ah! Thanks to CobaltBlueTony I see the page you're talking about (I missed it in your edit history). It looks like an administrator should take care of this soon. There is nothing left to do. Happy editing! Hoof Hearted (talk) 15:50, 26 March 2008 (UTC)
