[edit] Automated message to bot owners
As a result of discussion on the village pump and mailing list, bots are now allowed to edit up to 15 times per minute. The following is the new text regarding bot edit rates from Wikipedia:Bot Policy:
Until new bots are accepted they should wait 30-60 seconds between edits, so as to not clog the recent changes list and user watchlists. After being accepted and a bureaucrat has marked them as a bot, they can edit at a much faster pace. Bots doing non-urgent tasks should edit approximately once every ten seconds, while bots who would benefit from faster editing may edit approximately once every every four seconds.
Also, to eliminate the need to spam the bot talk pages, please add Wikipedia:Bot owners' noticeboard to your watchlist. Future messages which affect bot owners will be posted there. Thank you. --Mets501 05:13, 22 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Help:Logging in
Hi Uncle G's 'bot. On November 24, 2005, you copiedMeta:Help:Logging in into Help:Logging in. The Help:Logging in page seems out of synch with Meta:Help:Logging in. This was discovered diring this thread. I was wondering if you would like to update Help:Logging in like you did on November 24, 2005. Thanks. -- Jreferee 23:38, 9 June 2007 (UTC)
[edit] My Watchlist
What's up with this code on my watchlist?
Due to high database server lag, changes newer than 59 seconds might not be shown in this list.
Do you know what's wrong?-- PNiddy-~ // My edits 00:54, 23 June 2007 (UTC)
- Yeah, the database is lagging. :p Rahk E✘[[ my disscussions | Who Is ]] 02:31, 30 June 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Changing my font
Hi there Uncle G. I'm looking for a way to change the font on wikipedia to my desired preference in my monobook. The standard font looks bland and I want to create something more attractive. Font I think is very important in an encyclopedia which totals 1.41 billion words. PLease could you help me and give me some previews of different fonts i can use? Thanks ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "Talk"? 13:01, 19 September 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Clean up on all sandboxes needed
Can you please clean up the sandboxes right now because we had a vandal that screwed up everything, including the headers, so we need a cleanup by 09:00, 13 October 2007, before he actually disables the sandbox template? Thanks. Goodshoped35110s 04:40, 13 October 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Help:Show preview
Another editor has added the {{prod}}
template to the article Help:Show preview, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the editor doesn't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and has explained why in the article (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Notability). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia or discuss the relevant issues at its talk page. If you remove the {{prod}}
template, the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. BJBot (talk) 07:00, 7 March 2008 (UTC)
