Uncompaghre County, Colorado

Uncompaghre County was a county of the State of Colorado that existed for only four days. Uncompaghre County was created by a temporary renaming of Ouray County in 1883.

On 1883-02-27, the Colorado General Assembly renamed Ouray County as Uncompaghre County.[1] Four days later on 1883-03-02, the General Assembly changed its mind and changed the name of Uncompaghre County back to Ouray County.[2]
