[edit] Controversy

[edit] Papoose

At T-Pain's album release party Uncle Murda allegedly was assaulted by a member of Papoose's entourage. Sources claim that Uncle Murda came out the NY club on 13th St. and 10th Ave. and was allegedly punched in the face twice by one of Papoose's entourage. The alleged assault is said to have happened because of a track by Uncle Murda on a mixtape which is believed to have lyrics insulting Papoose. Uncle Murda later released a video on the internet shortly after the rumors went around. Uncle Murda confirmed that he did get into an altercation but claims no one laid a finger on him. Papoose has dissed Murda and by some interpretations even taken credit for the shooting that recently occurred, in a track called "Who Shot Ya?". This song title is a reference to a song released by Biggie Smalls, considered by some as diss to 2Pac after he was shot.[1]. On May 10, 2008, DJ Kay Slay announced that both the rappers have made peace and squashed their beef.[2].

[edit] Cavlar

Cavlar was a fellow NY rapper who was seen in a DVD documentary going at Murda and his GMG entourage. The video shows Cavlar himself along with members from his crew taunting and screaming at Murda and his crew. This encounter occurred in February of 2008. On March 25, 2008 the New York rapper was gunned down in front on his car, he was shot once and pronounced dead at the scene. As of today it is still unclear weather or not Uncle Murda or anyone from his GMG street crew were involved, the case is slow, though it is ongoing.
