It is intended to be about U.S. doctrine, branching from the globalised article insurgency. There is an article called unconventional warfare, to which this article has no relationship.

My goal is to have articles on the other U.S. doctrines for special operations, such as the work-in-progress foreign internal defense. As time and expertise permit, I'd also like to see articles on other national and regional doctrines.

I should add that special reconnaissance was not intended to be explictly U.S., but, again given the amount of U.S. doctrine published versus that of other countries, it can be considered a companion of this article. Howard C. Berkowitz (talk) 20:07, 30 April 2008 (UTC)
