[edit] Your edits to Mauricio Rua
Thanks for implementing the sortable table I made on Fedor Emelianenko. However, you made a bunch of edits in a short period of time that clogged up the history page, and it's now harder to see past contributions. In the future, please use the show preview function—it lets you see what a page will look like without actually making an edit. Please reply on my talk page if you have any concerns. Again, thanks! east.718 at 23:21, August 12, 2007

[edit] Fight teams
I feel kind of guilty for not telling you earlier, but why don't you give AWB a try for adding fight teams to infoboxes? You can just make a CSV file in Excel or whatnot with the fighters' names and team associations, and feed that into AWB, which'll do all the work for you. I'll be welcome to help write the AWB script for you. east.718 at 05:32, August 17, 2007—please reply on my talk page!
[edit] August 2007
Hello. Please don't forget to provide an edit summary, which wasn't included with your recent edit to Chute Boxe Academy. Thank you. Rjd0060 17:17, 20 August 2007 (UTC)
- No problem! You know, it just helps other people when they are looking through an articles' history. - Rjd0060 17:32, 20 August 2007 (UTC)
[edit] MMA team list template
Please put the template at the bottom of the page, not in the external links. Thesaddestday 03:32, 21 August 2007 (UTC)
- Additionally, you've left templates overlapping and it looks awful... also some pages, like the Pitfight Team you created with no information on there. Thesaddestday 03:48, 21 August 2007 (UTC)
- Glad you aren't taking it personally. I'm helping now to adjust the pages and help make sure the templates don't currently overlap. Thesaddestday 04:01, 21 August 2007 (UTC)
[edit] AfD nomination of Pitfight Team
Pitfight Team, an article you created, has been nominated for deletion. We appreciate your contributions. However, an editor does not feel that Pitfight Team satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in the nomination space (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and the Wikipedia deletion policy). Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Pitfight Team and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit the content of Pitfight Team during the discussion but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion discussion. Thank you. Thesaddestday 03:56, 21 August 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Pitfight Team
Thank you for your comment on my talk page, and I'm happy to help you try and save the page. As far as I'm concerned, you need to find some reliable sources that indicate: a)Chuck Liddell or another notable individual is intimately associated with the school, and b)the school is considered a professional and notable training center within it's field. Currently, the only references are self-referential, i.e-SPAM. Anybody can claim to be massively popular and earthshakingly notable if the references they use are from their own website. If you can find reliable sources that certify the two criteria above, I have no problem changing my vote to Keep. Bullzeye (Complaint Dept./Brilliant Acts) 16:01, 21 August 2007 (UTC)
- I recommend you take the citations you posted on my talk page and add them to both the article and the AfD discussion. That way, you can make a more open showing of how you think the page meets the notability requirements. Bullzeye (Complaint Dept./Brilliant Acts) 16:19, 21 August 2007 (UTC)
- See Wikipedia:Notability and Wikipedia:Notability (organizations and companies). At the moment I think the only sources you've given are websites that don't (I think) count as "reliable sources". If you give, for example, newspaper articles as sources that would be better, and you could give links to the newspapers' web pages.
- I also created one or two non-notable articles before I learned how the notability criteria work. It can be disappointing to have your work deleted. --Coppertwig 16:25, 21 August 2007 (UTC)
- You might want to read WP:CANVASS if you haven't already. --Coppertwig 16:32, 21 August 2007 (UTC)
- I apologize. I didn't mean to imply that you had done anything wrong. I mean, I don't know whether what you did was within the guidelines or not. If you read the policies, maybe you can figure that out. However, some long-time users don't like getting a lot of messages on their talk page and might not want to get a message just because they had voted in an AfD. I don't know whether that's the case here. --Coppertwig 16:39, 21 August 2007 (UTC)
-
- When you put a message about an article on someone's talk page, it's considerate to also put a link to the article, for their convenience. Your messages should have contained these links: Pitfight Team -- Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Pitfight Team.
- One of the three articles you've listed as new references does not mention "Pit" at all. One says something about the Pit. One mentions the Pit briefly but doesn't really say anything about it -- it just says a certain person is the owner of it. None of the articles mentions "Pitfight" or "Pitfight Team". The first paragraph of the page doesn't mention "Pitfight Team" either; and I'm not sure that "Team" should be capitalized. Maybe you're thinking of renaming it to "Pit" or "The Pit"? I think it's likely to be deleted, though.
- I almost didn't notice those three articles you added because they're not in the same format as the other references. I don't know if others will make that mistake too. --Coppertwig 17:06, 21 August 2007 (UTC)
- It might help if you mention on the Articles for Deletion page that you're planning/considering renaming the page to The Pit (or something). I don't know whether it would help or not -- it's just an idea. You might also consider just having articles on certain people who are on the team, if you can find more reliable sources about them than about the team. --Coppertwig 17:23, 21 August 2007 (UTC)
- It has nothing to do with whether they've heard of them. It has to do with whether there are "reliable sources" (Wikipedia:Reliable sources) about the topic -- and when creating the page you're expected to convince people that there are. --Coppertwig 17:32, 21 August 2007 (UTC)
- You might want to consider suggesting at the AfD that you'll rename the page to something like "Pit (martial arts association)" or "The Pit, Arroyo Grande, California". Don't just do that because I say so: I'm not an expert on page naming. You might want to look at "Wikipedia:Naming conventions". It may work best to choose one good name and suggest it. I'm not sure whether you can rename the page during the AfD; I'm guessing it's better just to talk about it. Again, I'm not an expert on AfD's.
- By the way, all the information on the page is supposed to come from reliable sources. --Coppertwig 14:04, 22 August 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Image overwrite
Hi, I don't think you meant to but you just overwrote the Pittsburgh Airport logo. Please in the future make sure you're not overwriting an image with the same file name when you upload a photo. Thanks --Matt 20:24, 30 August 2007 (UTC)
- Hey, it's all good - it does warn you when you're uploading that you're replacing an existing photo too - so just don't ignore those :) Cheers --Matt 20:09, 31 August 2007 (UTC)
[edit] September 2007
Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that recently you carried out a copy and paste page move from Pitfight Team. Please do not move articles by copying and pasting them because it splits the article's history, which is needed for attribution and is helpful in many other ways. If there is an article that you cannot move yourself using the move link at the top of the page, follow the instructions at Wikipedia:Requested moves. Also, if there are any other articles that you copied and pasted, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Cut and paste move repair holding pen. Thank you. -- lucasbfr talk 15:45, 2 September 2007 (UTC)
- Normally I fixed it when I left you the message. Is the current title the correct one? -- lucasbfr talk 16:03, 2 September 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Header titles
Hey, just letting you know that header titles (like "External links", "MMA record", etc) are not capitalized entirely. Instead, capitalize it like a sentence (first word has a capital letter, following words do not, obviously excluding proper nouns). ;) Thesaddestday 01:20, 5 September 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Re: Fight teams
I took a look at them but don't have the time at the moment to formulate a response. Could you please make a trivial edit to my talk page so I remember to do so? Thanks. east.718 at 01:56, September 5, 2007
- Sorry if it seems that I've been blowing you off, I've been very busy recently. You've done some great work on The Pit's article; it really looks like the gold standard for fight team articles as of now. I'll come through and improve it a little sometime. east.718 at 16:46, September 6, 2007

[edit] Re: Miletich Fighting Systems-Status Update
The page is protected for legal reasons (the Foundation is involved at this point). However, you can make pretty much any edit that doesn't relate to the ownership of MFS or the dispute between Militech and Kujawski. I know it sucks, but just keep using {{editprotected}} for now or post changes you want made on my talkpage. And yes, you can cite this response of mine to any admins who ask any questions. east.718 at 21:26, April 6, 2008

[edit] Orphaned non-free media (Image:Santos laguna logo.gif)
Thanks for uploading Image:Santos laguna logo.gif. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 09:33, 2 June 2008 (UTC)
