An Italian Straw Hat (French: Un chapeau de paille d'Italie, Italian: Un cappello di paglia di Firenze, Portuguese: O chapéu de Palha de Itália, Polish: Slomkowy kapelusz, Spanish: Un sombrero de paja de Italia) is a 1928 French silent black and white avant-garde film directed by René Clair and Jean Renoir and based on a vaudevilliste play by Eugène Labiche and Marc Michel. Released in France on January 13, 1928. Runtime - 60 min.
Produced by Alexandre Kamenka, Films Albatros. Original music score by Georges Delerue and Benedict Mason. Also featured music by Jacques Ibert from his Divertissement. Cinematography by Maurice Desfassiaux and Nikolas Roudakoff.
