[edit] Notability and sources

No reliable third-party sources have been provided for this article. If you have any, please add them. I am also of the opinion that this organization might not meet Wikipedia's notability guideline for non-commercial organizations. Their activity seems to be local in scope, and given that no third-party sources have been provided, it seems that this topic might better be covered in the USML main article. I just added a few new thrid party references, before it is deleated will you please take a look at them thanks. Also i disagree that it should be covered in UMSL's main article, if you look at the University of Missouri-Columbia's SGA they have their own page.134.124.35.72 (talk) 17:09, 7 January 2008 (UTC)
None of the sources that you have provided are third-party. They are all either affiliated with the university or the university system in some way. An independent source would be from a reputable newspaper or the like that has no affiliation with the university, it's groups, or its governing bodies. Some sources and references to the UMSL SGA: 72-0 vote against MU name change, article mentions increased success of UMSL SGA and mentioned in pubdef.net. If the SGA got Obama to show up for a debate and got news coverage that would have helped. It does seem to fail the notability guideline for non-commercial organizations Alatari (talk) 15:27, 10 January 2008 (UTC)
