Umina Beach is a suburb of the Central Coast region of New South Wales, Australia, located south of Woy Woy on Broken Bay, about 80 kilometres (50 mi) north of Sydney. It is part of the City of Gosford local government area.
Umina Beach, Ettalong Beach and Woy Woy occupy a triangle of low ground between the Brisbane Water and the Hawkesbury River.
Umina Beach has two beaches, Ocean Beach and Umina Beach, both connected to each other. A popular tourist attraction at Umina is the annual Sand Castle Contest held by local radio station 2GO. Its long sandy beach is popular with holiday makers.
Belinda Emmett (12 April 1974-11 November 2006), actress (Home and Away and All Saints) and singer, grew up here.
There are two schools in Umina Beach; Umina Public School and Brisbane Water Secondary College
