Umanath, born on October 30, 1980 in a village Arani (nearby Vellore) to proud parents Senthamizh Selvan (Manager, Union Bank of India and GunaSundari(Prop, Run Sports Garments).A sibling named Divya works for a reputed software Organisation

Schooling: Due to father's bank profession the inital part of school days were at Thirupur (City of garments), Pallikonda and later settled at Vellore. Did second standard to tenth at Township English School, Gandhi Nagar Vellore, the higher secondary education at Vani vidhyalaya Matriculation Hr.Sec School.

College:

UndertGraduate at Vellore Engineering College year 1997-2001 in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. Post Graduate at Vellore Insititue of Technology (2002-2004) in Advanced Communication Engineering.
