Umán

Umán is a small city and its surrounding municipality of the same name in the state of Yucatán, Mexico.
Umán is located at Mérida, and is part of the Mérida metropolitan area. As of the census of 2005, the city of Umán had a population of 29,135 people, the seventh-largest community in the state in population. The municipality of which the city serves as municipal seat had a population of 53,268, living on an area of 234.3 km² (90.46 sq mi). Its largest other community is the town of Itzincab.
