[edit] Welcome
Hello, looks like you've been here a while now, but no one took the time to welcome you. If I may, welcome to Wikipedia! You seem to know your way around pretty well, and have made many good contributions. If you should happen to need help with anything, please feel free to ask me. heqs ·:. 18:49, 6 August 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Prowords
Further to your question at Talk:Procedure word, the term "five by five" originates from early radio users, who described signals on a scale of one to five, referring first to strength and then to clarity. So "two by four" is a weak (faint) but relatively clear signal. Editus Reloaded 20:17, 3 November 2007 (UTC)
- Sorry, other way round. The above example would be a strong but garbled signal. Editus Reloaded 20:18, 3 November 2007 (UTC)
