UltraBac Software (BEI Corporation) is headquartered in Bellevue, Washington, USA. Founded in 1982, the company's mission is to development high-performance backup utility applications. Privately held, the company has been self-funded and profitable every year.

UltraBac Software began developing solutions for minicomputers in the early 80s, later UltraBac Software's speciality evolved into providing backup and disaster recovery software for corporate users of Microsoft operating systems.

UltraBac, backup and disaster recovery software, was first released in 1995 and now has over 20,000 dedicated worldwide customers representing the entire spectrum of computer users including: banking, retail, insurance, manufacturing, financial, aerospace, medical, wholesale, entertainment, military, education, communications, and government. The company's leadership in the industry is evidenced by several Gartner reports written by Carolyn DiCenzo, VP of Gartner Group.
