Ulten (Ultimo) (Italian: Ultimo; German: Ulten; Archaic (1230AD): Ultimis; Latin: Ultimus) is a comune (municipality) in the province of Bolzano-Bozen in the Italian region Trentino-Alto Adige/Südtirol, located about 60 km northwest of the city of Trento and about 35 km west of the city of Bolzano (de. Bozen). As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 2,968 and an area of 208.8 km².[1]

The municipality of Ulten (Ultimo) contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Kuppelwies (Pracúpola), St. Gertraud (San Gertrude), St. Nikolaus (San Nicolò), and St. Walburg (Santa Valburga). The municipality covers most of the Ultental (Ultimo) Valley (it. Val Val d'Ultimo, de. Ultental), an alpine valley.

Ulten (Ultimo) borders the following municipalities: , Kastelbell-Tschars (Castelbello-Ciardes), Latsch (Laces), Laurein (Lauregno), Martell (Martello), Naturns (Naturno), Proveis (Proves), St. Pankraz (San Pancrazio), Bresimo, Rabbi, and Rumo.
