From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

To future editors who finds this article not in compliance with Wikipedia rules: I maintain this article and I am trying to do my best to write in a way that is compliaint with Wikipedia standards. Having said that I am a fairly inexperienced Wikipedia contributor. If you find this article not complying with Wikipedia standards, please state here what exactly is the issue in this discussion, and I would be more than happy to edit it to bring it in line with the policies. It would also be helpful if pointers are provided on how not to sound like an ad when writing in good faith an article about a commercial product.

Thank you, vgribok

[edit] Open Source

I edited the page to state that Cassini is open source, however I am not sure what is the relationship between UltiDev Cassini and Microsoft ASP.NET Cassini Web Server. Sources are provided by Microsoft under a shared-source license. --Ondrejsv 09:10, 25 July 2007 (UTC)

Actually, UltiDev Cassini Web Server is not open-source. It is free of charge, and its request handling code is based of open-source samples, but source of proprietary code added bu UltiDev is not freely available. I edited the article to reflect this fact. --Vgribok 22:30, 18 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] To address "Confusing and Unclear" concern

This article is no more confusing than article on IIS - a similar software serving similar purposes. IIS article is arguably more complex than this one. If you agree, please remove the "confusing" category. If no objections posted in three weeks, I will remove "confusing" reference in three-four weeks. --Vgribok 22:48, 18 August 2007 (UTC)

Removed "Confusing" reference. Vgribok 13:59, 18 September 2007 (UTC)
