The Ulster Senior Club Football Championship is an annual Gaelic football tournament played between a number of clubs in Ulster. It starts with a group stage, with the group winners (and for this year the best group runner-up) advancing to the knockout stage. Different clubs treat it differently in terms of seriousness. It is less prestigious than the Ulster Senior Club Football Championship and many sides see it as a warm-up to their respective county leagues and championships. Some big name teams decide not to enter, most notably Crossmaglen and Bellaghy. However winning the Ulster Club League has proved a stepping stone for county championship success for victorious clubs. The current Ulster League holders are Ballinderry of Derry.
