Ulrike von Levetzow
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Ulrike von Levetzow, known as Ulrike Levetzow, Baroness von Levetzow (1804-99) was a friend of Goethe. She met him at Marienbad and Karlsbad in 1822 and 1823, when she was 18 and he was 73. The poet was so carried away with her wit and beauty that he thought for a time of marrying her and addressed to her the poems which he afterward called Trilogie der Leidenschaft.
