Ulrich "Uli" Hesse-Lictenberger was born in Dortmund, Germany on February 8, 1966. He is a freelance German journalist who regularly contributes to UEFA Champions League Magazine, ESPN[1], and other soccer publications. He is famous for his insight of the German Football Association and the Bundesliga[2] and has been called a "literary Gerd Müller" by The Times.[3]
