Ulpia Severina

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Ulpia Severina was the wife of Roman emperor Aurelian, from whom she had a daughter. Aurelian married her before becoming emperor and Ulpia gained the title Augusta. Very little is known about her. It is assumed that she was a daughter of Ulpius Crinitus.[1] According to Augustan History, Aurelian regularly presented Ulpia sigillaria by the end of Saturnalia, according to tradition.
