The Chinese Elm Ulmus parvifolia cultivar 'Prairie Shade' is an American clone selected in 1973 in Oklahoma [1]. The tree is distinguished by its strong, upright growth when young [2]. It is not known to be in cultivation in Europe or Australasia.
