Ulmus minor 'Rubra'

The cultivar Rubra was listed in the Louis de Smet (Ghent, Belgium) catalogue 10, p. 59, 1877 as U. campestris foliis rubris. Later described as having small leaves with a reddish-green tinge. Considered "probably U. carpinifolia" (: minor) by Green (1964), it is unlikely the tree remains in cultivation. .
