The Wych Elm Ulmus glabra cultivar 'Luteo Variegata' was described by Richard Weston in Bot. Univ 1: 315 1770 simply as having leaves variegated with yellow.[1] Four trees are known to survive in Edinburgh, along Castle Terrace; last measured in 1989 the largest was 18 m high, 62 cm d.b.h. [2] The tree is not known to be available from nurseries, nor to have ever been introduced to North America or Australasia.
