The Wych Elm Ulmus glabra cultivar 'Crispa Aurea' was first mentioned by Schelle in Beissner et al Handb. Laubh.-Bennen 86, 1903 but without description. The following year, Schneider described it as like 'Crispa' but with more or less golden leaves [1]. The tree is not known to remain in cultivation.
