'Haarlemensis' is one of a number of Ulmus × hollandica cultivars arising from the crossing of Wych Elm U. glabra with Field Elm U. minor. First listed by Springer in Mitt. Deutsch. Dendr. Ges. 21: 366, 1912, as U. campestris haarlemensis. Described as slow-growing, forming an unbroken, broad pyramidal crown, with glossy, dark-green leaves persisting for several weeks longer than most in autumn [1]. It is unlikely the tree remains in cultivation.
