Origin
Netherlands

The elm cultivar 'Wanoux' (Vada™) is a Dutch development derived from the crossing of the hybrid 'Plantyn' with another selfed (self-pollinated) specimen of 'Plantyn'. Originally identified as clone No. '762', it was selected and assessed by the French Institut National de la Recherche Agronomique (INRA), who patented it as 'Wanoux' (Vada™) in 2006. Possessed of the same disease-resistance as 'Nanguen' (Lutèce™), but slightly more vigour (attaining a height of 14 m at 20 years of age), 'Wanoux' (Vada™) is a more fastigiate tree primarily intended for street planting [1][2]. The tree is reputedly easily propagated from cuttings.

It is not known whether 'Wanoux' (Vada™) has been introduced to North America or Australasia.
