The cultivar 'Rotundifolia' was listed by Mottet in Nicholson & Mottet, Dict. Prat. Hort. 5: 383, 1898, as Ulmus campestris var. rotundifolia Hort.. Described as having leaves rounded, oval or suborbicular. Considered "possibly Ulmus carpinifolia" (: minor) by Green [1], it is unlikely the tree remains in cultivation.
