Ulf Strohmayer - geographer - Professor and head of the Geography Department at the National University of Ireland, Galway. Born in Germany, educated there and in the USA (PhD, Penn State), has held posts in the USA, France and the University of Wales, Lampeter.
Texts include "Space and Social Theory" (1997, ed. with Georges Benko). His work is largely theoretical, drawing on social and cultural theory as well as human geography.
