Ulead VideoStudio is a video editing software distributed by Corel.

The software allows both storyboard- and timeline-oriented editing. Different formats are supported for source clips, resulting video can be exported to DVD-video, AVCHD disk, HD-DVD video and to file-based formats like AVI. DV/HDV capture is available.

Video transitions are placed into different categories including: FX: Includes transitions such as 'Burn' and 'Fade to black' 3D: Transitions such as 'Accordion' where the first video is folded in an accordion style. Album: The transitions show the video in a photo album and turn the page to the next video or something similar.
There are other video transitions, including the simple 'Fade' or 'Flip'.

Video filters include 'chroma key' which is a greenscreen/bluescreen recognition effect, 'Ripple', 'Negative', 'Sepia', 'Old Film' and other effects which are good for use in films or music videos. There is also powerful Zoom and Pan effect both for still pictures and video clips.

You can add a flash animation overlay to the video and have a wide range of built-in animations including clapping hands, butterflies, a magic wand, and a crown.

You can add frames and clip-art style objects to the video, as well as titles. The titles have many effects to make them move.

You can slow the video down, speed it up, play it backwards and change the colours. It can also trim, crop and split the video tracks. It can have 8 tracks of overlay video, which can be played in various ways at the same time as the main video. The soundtrack can be saved separately. If the video is slowed down or speeded up, so is the main audio. This can be split from the video track.
