Ulassai is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Ogliastra in the Italian region Sardinia, located about 70 km northeast of Cagliari and about 20 km southwest of Tortolì. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 1,601 and an area of 122.2 km².^[1]

Ulassai borders the following municipalities: Esterzili, Gairo, Jerzu, Osini, Perdasdefogu, Seui, Tertenia, Ussassai, Villaputzu.
