[edit] Image Tagging Image:London Olympic stadium.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:London Olympic stadium.jpg. I notice the image page currently doesn't specify who created the image, so the copyright status is therefore unclear. If you have not created the image yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the image on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the image yourself then you should also specify where you found it, ie in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page.
If the image also doesn't have a copyright tag then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture then you can use {{gfdl}} to release it under the GFDL. If you can claim fair use use {{fairuse}}.) See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other images, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thanks so much. --Secretlondon 16:47, 12 October 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Your userpage was briefly delisted by a rogue admin
' | This user believes that only articles need reflect a NPOV, and that displaying political, religious, or other beliefs using userboxes and user categories should not be banned. |
You have a userbox Template:User UN which links your userpage to United Nations Wikipedians. There is currently a movement to ban userboxes from Wikipedia which are shared and which create Lists of Wikipedians. Certain admins have taken it upon themselves to preemptively sabotage and/or delete such categories and template. Here is the incident report which reported damage to yours, in which hundreds of userpages were delinked from categories without the users' knowledge. They have been stopped, barely, and the damage reverted— for now.
There is a Wikipedia:Userbox policy poll, which if passed, will make required by policy the damage done to categories and templates such as User UN/United Nations Wikipedians. If you do not want this to happen, I urge you to vote Oppose. in the poll. Support is currently running at about 66%, and your vote could make the difference. It is said to require 75%-80% to be deemed reflective of consensus.
Thank you,

[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Jamesarbuthnot.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Jamesarbuthnot.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).
The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}
.
Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator.

[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Winston_Baldwin_SPENCER.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Winston_Baldwin_SPENCER.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

[edit] Marjorie Husted
I've added the "{{prod}}" template to the article Marjorie Husted, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, or, if you disagree with the notice, discuss the issues at Talk:Marjorie Husted. You may remove the deletion notice, and the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached, or if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria. [edit] Fiji project
I just added a bit to your proposed project page. I also added my name to the list of interested parties. My primary interest in wikipedia is in making sure that projects which I feel to be important to the development of wikipedia be given as much help by me as I am able to offer. This includes all the national projects. As a result, my to-do backlog is, shall we say, frightening. I will offer what assistance I can to the project, but that will most likely be in terms of template construction and assessment. But, if there is anything I can do, please feel free to let me know. Good luck. Badbilltucker 19:42, 7 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Fiji Wikiproject
Thank you for the invitation! I am honoured to accept. At the moment I am more pressed for time than usual so have been less active in recent months, but yes, I do have a passionate interest in Fiji and still contribute whenever and whatever I am able. For a couple of years, I worked virtually alone on Fiji-related articles, but in the last year a couple of others have pitched in. Hopefully, this project you're starting will attract a much larger number of contributors who will be familiar with all the facets of Fijian politics, economy, geography, history, flora and fauna, etc. Once again, thank you so much for the inviation. David Cannon 22:37, 7 December 2006 (UTC)

- BTW, please invite the following colleagues to join the project! Xork1000 (a Fijian who has provided MUCH NEEDED advice and checked all of my articles for inaccuracies and POV, etc.), Girmitya, a Fiji Indian/Indo-Fijian who has contributed a wealth of material on the Indian contribution to Fiji, and Laulad, who has provided a great deal of material on Fiji's chiefs. [edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:Court1.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:Court1.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. [edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Davidhasselhoff jumpinmycar.jpg
Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Davidhasselhoff jumpinmycar.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thanks for uploading Image:Goodgirlgonebad(reloaded)UK.JPG. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 01:09, 4 June 2008 (UTC)
