Contents

[edit] History

The channel is available on Sky Digital, Tiscali TV and Virgin Media.

The output of the channel is mainly factual programming of a lighter nature, based on the people of the world such as Top Gear and docusoaps like Airport.

None of its content is fresh and produced by the channel, but it is instead bought from other broadcasters such as the BBC, which hold a stake in the UKTV group of companies.

Originally there was a time-shifted version of UKTV People called UKTV People +1. This was closed on 18 April 2006 to create UKTV Drama +1 on 2 May that same year.
