UKTV History (previously known as UK History until 8 March 2004) is a television channel broadcasting in the United Kingdom as part of the UKTV network of channels. It launched on 30 October 2002, to coincide with the launch of the Freeview digital terrestrial television platform.

The channel is available on Sky Digital, Tiscali TV and Virgin Media, and with reduced hours on Freeview. UKTV History operates as a subscription service on Digital Satellite and Cable but is available free to air on the Freeview platform, and in the standard package of Tiscali TV. A timeshifted "+1", UKTV History +1 service is also available on Sky and Virgin Media. Programmes are often cut for advertising. For example, a 60 minute BBC documentary may be cut to 45 minutes to allow 3x 5 minute ad breaks.
