How certain is this claim of autocephaly from 1924? Is there an official document from Constantinople, the tomos? -- User Igor:Igor 4:06, 21 Sep 2003 (UTC)

Yes, that is what is being mentioned in the paragraph about Gregory VII. He issued a tomos then. Alex756 04:29, 21 Sep 2003 (UTC)

Bad link in the previous comment. Tomos links to articles about Slovenian motorcycles. Luba 18 July 2005

[edit] 1980s

Is it valid to say that, in the late 1980s, UAOC claimed substantial membership in the Soviet Union, despite not being permitted to function openly? (Religion in the Soviet Union) It seems contradictory. UAOC couldn't claim "substantial membership" without at least 10-20 functioning parishes. How can there be functioning parishes if Church is not permitted to function? Where did those parishes come from? --Itinerant1 17:21, 9 July 2007 (UTC)
