Transdnieper. Is it somehow related to Dnieper Ukraine (Naddniprianshchyna) requested in "things to do"? mikka (t) 00:04, 21 December 2005 (UTC)

[edit] "Good articles drive

Let's get a couple of articles to the WP:GOOD status since we have none close to FA for now. The following is copied from Talk:Andriyivskyy_Descent. --Irpen 03:49, 22 June 2006 (UTC)

I think that we should nominate the Andriyivskyy Descent for GA. Or should we add more info from other sites first? It would be nice to have a good article about smthing Ukraine-related... Any objections? —dima /sb.tk/ 02:59, 22 June 2006 (UTC)

Good idea! You wrote many apolitical articles that could be GAed with little difficulty. We have several more written earlier and the Olimpiysky Sport Complex I destubbed is detailed enough.
Also, Khreschatyk, Bridges of Kiev? Any of the Metro articles?
Orange Revolution seems doable. Ukrainization too but both are political and this may cause difficulties.
Finally, articles like History of Christianity in Ukraine, History of jewellery in Ukraine, History of Kiev, Holodomor, Ukrainian language have a wealth of factual info but are very difficult to finish to the acceptable level because of their immense scope and other reasons. I suggest putting them aside for now as far as the GA-drive is conserned.
So, the list of apolitical articles is: Andriyivskyy Descent, Khreschatyk, Bridges of Kiev, some of the Metro articles, Olimpiysky Sport Complex. Let's pick one and develop it. Maybe Andriyivsky is the closest to be ready. --Irpen 04:17, 22 June 2006 (UTC)
Yes, I think Andriyivsky is the closest towards GA, that's why I took to adding the </references>. Then hopefully Khreschatyk, Bridges of Kiev, Olimpiysky Sport Complex, and all those other more political ones. For metro articles, IMO, Dnipro (Kiev Metro) is the closest towards getting GA status. —dima /sb.tk/ 14:51, 22 June 2006 (UTC)

OK, of them all Andriyivsky, Khreschatyk and Bridges have the most online sources already listed. We should integrate what we can into an article. Let's start with Andriyivsky. --Irpen 00:35, 23 June 2006 (UTC)

Sure thing, —dima /sb.tk/ 00:49, 23 June 2006 (UTC)
