- User:Tommiks also introduced a controversial Template:Russion-Ottoman War Series featuring such Turkish idiosyncrasies as Battle of Chigirin instead of traditional "Chigirin campaigns". --Ghirlandajo 07:06, 7 October 2005 (UTC)
- Turkish newcomer Tommiks started such pages as Siege of Ochakov and Battle of Chigirin, pillaging material from the articles on appropriate Russo-Turkish Wars and proclaiming on Mikkalai's talk page that "current text with 10 periods is very baised against Ottomans". His future contributions should be watched closely. --Ghirlandajo 07:06, 7 October 2005 (UTC)
- And you know, he is right, The periodisation is russocentric. In fact this russo-turkish thing was like waves, going to and fro. AFAIK, the 10 periods correspond to Russian tides, but I am almost 100% sure there should be Turkish assaults in between. mikka (t) 16:20, 11 October 2005 (UTC)

- Rusin language by User:Node ye. Is it really "independant" from the Rusyn language? I suspect that both are a dialect of the Ukrainian. Please comment. --Ghirlandajo 13:04, 1 September 2005 (UTC)
- This "new" article is just cut'n'paste from a chapter of Rusyn. Seems suspicious but better left to specialists. Whether they are separate, I quickly fount this. To your question, dialect or not, the debate isn't new. Check this search for Русин in Zerkalo Nedeli. About 20 out of 70+ articles can be used for this and other WP articles. --Irpen 18:54, September 1, 2005 (UTC)
