Need to add links for notable persons (The Who members etc) and verify Townshend spelling (not a who fan myself). Also find reference for MM quote in last paragraph. Emyr42 22:53, 22 May 2006 (UTC)
Re-ordered the paragraphs to make more sense, also fixed grammar. Tarthen 18:45, 31st August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Transmitter siting
I am reliably informed by a locksmith working in the Midlands that a common problem with these stations at the moment comes from people siting transmitters at the top of tower blocks near lift maintenance rooms (especially where the lifts are permanently 'out of order'), and then gumming the lock with super-glue, meaning that frequently the authorities are unable to properly enforce shutdowns by cutting off the transmitter. However, I don't have an actual written source to back this up. 81.104.170.167 07:29, 27 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Radio Jackie - is it really a pirate?
According to the wikipedia page, it appears to have a valid operating license Charles
[edit] Merseyside in the early '80s
There was something of a resurgence of pirate radio in the early '80s, notably around Merseyside. A few of these stations already have articles, but more is welcome. Andy Dingley (talk) 23:50, 31 May 2008 (UTC)
