[edit] Created page

I can't believe this page hasn't been created yet! I'm new to wiki and a big hardhouse fan. Other hardhouse fans should help me out here. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Socialbeast (talk • contribs) 09:57, March 2, 2006

[edit] Different things

"The music is often liked by younger clubbers because of its easy accessibility, meanstream attitude and suitability for dancing to while on Ecstasy."

Who the hell wrote this crap? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 165.165.224.209 (talk) 09:40, June 24, 2006 (UTC)

This is almost true. By the way, I can't decide on if this article is on Hard House, or on UK Hard House, or on NRG. Someone should rewrite the whole article about original (aka. Chicago) Hardhouse, and make a new one for UK Hard House. These two genres are really far away from each other. Ishkur's guide describes the whole thing...
"Hard house is typified by a set formula of up-tempo compressed kick drums, signature acid house style basslines and the use of 'hoover' type sounds."
Again this is UK Hard House, Chicage Hard House uses distorted TR-909 kickdrums. Acid house has offbeat bassline like uk hardhouse? Really?
Ah, at least this article should be renamed to UK Hard House, please...

Somebody who knows how shit hard house is. What part of it don't you think is right? Its commercial, its for dancing to on Es and only little kids and people with no musical taste like it. QED. 81.157.230.163 11:10, 27 August 2006 (UTC)

in what way is HH commercial? chart hits? affinity with house-pop/dance-pop, their catchy melodies or soulful vocals? i don't see it - ecstasy fueled, maybe, but that doesn't make it more "commercial", or even accessible and mainstream. what does "mainstream attitude" mean: that the the people who go are especially normal, the way they dress or how they dance is "mainstream"? it makes no sense. i've heard comments like yours before, but i don't understand them.

[edit] Deleted lists

The list parts of the article have been removed (by another editor) because they are unreferenced. I was initially simply going to revert this, but for now I'll stop short of that and move them here. What should we do with these? __meco (talk) 12:55, 2 January 2008 (UTC)
