Ujani dam

Ujani (Ujjani?) dam is built on Bhima River (a tributary of Krishna) in Maharashtra state in India. Ujani dam is located in Village Ujjani in Madha Taluka (Solapur District).
It has a reservoir capacity of 1517 Giga Litres (GL). So it is one of the biggest reservoirs in the region supplying water for drinking and irrigation in the Solapur district (Maharashtra) and Bijapur district (Karnataka).
It is the third largest reservoir in Maharashtra after Koyna (2800 GL, on Koyna - Krishna) and Jayakwadi (2171 GL, on Godavari)
