[edit] Notability of non-playing footballers (AfD:Paul Rodgers (footballer))

Hello! You contributed to AfD:Paul Rodgers by voting to keep him. As you may know, WP:FOOTY is currently working to finalize a Notability criteria. One of the points of the current suggestion that are still being debated is more or less a translation of AfD:Paul Rodgers. I'm now trying to come up with a suggestion that summarizes this AfD, and would like you to comment on my interpretation of your arguments, and perhaps even discuss a suggestion. Thank you! [edit] Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Firefox Extensions.png

Thanks for uploading Image:Firefox Extensions.png. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 20:59, 13 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Hi

You did undid my block (here) and as a matter of learning the ropes (I'm a new admin as you might know) I'd like to know why. My rationale is that it's a defamatory username aimed at people with red hair. You obviously don't agree? ScarianCall me Pat 22:28, 22 February 2008 (UTC)

Okay, thank you very much for your reply. It makes sense to me now. Cheers and take care! :-) ScarianCall me Pat 23:25, 22 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] English-to-Korean translation

Hey. :) I saw your name listed on Wikipedia:Translators available for Korean. I need help translating a note to editors for the Kim Yu-Na article. Anon users who WHOIS say are from Korea are disregarding a note to editors and I thought it would help if I got a Korean translation. Could you translate Note to editors: Please do not change this without citing a source! into Korean? Thanks! Kolindigo (talk) 22:24, 27 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Unspecified source for Image:6th_Duke_of_Richmond.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:6th_Duke_of_Richmond.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 21:59, 31 March 2008 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Kelly hi! 21:59, 31 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Speedy deletion of Image:San Francisco HDR.jpg

A tag has been placed on Image:San Francisco HDR.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section I9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. [edit] Cian Hughton

The point being it's not needed to do that, the {{db}} was rejected so I had to afd it. It shouldn't be redirected. Govvy (talk) 18:06, 30 May 2008 (UTC)
