UFC 82: Pride of a Champion was a mixed martial arts (MMA) event Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) that took place on March 1, 2008 at the Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio.[2]

The main event was a UFC & Pride FC middleweight title unification match between UFC champion Anderson Silva and PRIDE FC Welterweight champion Dan Henderson.[2] Gono was replaced by Chris Wilson.[3]

At the event, former UFC Heavyweight Champion Mark Coleman was inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame.[4].

Jorge Gurgel defeats John Halverson by unanimous decision.
Diego Sanchez defeats David Bielkheden by verbal submission (strikes) at 4:43 of Round 1.
Josh Koscheck defeats Dustin Hazelett via TKO (strikes) at 1:24 of Round 2. This was the only preliminary fight that was aired on the broadcast.
Luigi Fioravanti defeats Luke Cummo by unanimous decision.
Andrei Arlovski defeats Jake O'Brien by TKO (Punches) at 4:17 of Round 2.

Jon Fitch defeats Chris Wilson by unanimous decision. The judges scored the fight 30-27, 29-28, and 30-27.
Yushin Okami defeats Evan Tanner by KO (knee) at 3:00 of Round 2.
Chris Leben defeats Alessio Sakara by TKO (punches) at 4:16 of Round 1.
Heath Herring defeats Cheick Kongo by split decision. Two judges had the fight 29-28 for Herring & one judge had it 29-28 for Kongo.
Anderson Silva defeats Dan Henderson by submission (rear naked choke) at 4:52 of Round 2.
