Udyan Express

Udyan Express is train linking the financial capital of Mumbai, India to the silicon valley of India, Bangalore. It takes roughly 24 hours to cover the distance of 1218 km and commuters have demanded in media for converting the train to a superfast train repeatedly.

The train is also criticized heavily in media for plying on diesel engine on the oldest electriifed Mumbai-Pune track and wasting fuel as well as spoiling the environment of scenic khanadala ghat in The dailies "Maharashtra times" and "Navbharat Times" in 2001 and 2002 respectively. Ironically the train is named as Udyan express as Bangalore is a green city with many gardens.

Train No.: 6529. Departure from Mumbai: Mumbai Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus - 8:00 hrs. Arrival at Bangalore: Bangalore City Junction Railway Station - 8:50 hrs (the next day).

Train No.: 6530. Departure from Bangalore: Bangalore City Junction Railway Station - 20:10 hrs. Arrival at Mumbai: Mumbai Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus - 19:50 hrs (the next day).
