Literally translated 'Eternal homes', Udayan Ghars are residential homes for long term care of orphaned and abandoned children through a strategy called LIFE: Living In Family Environment.

Six homes are fully established at the moment and three more are currently being prepared in Noida, Mayur Vihar and Modinagar. (April 2008)

Each home is taken care of by mentor mothers, caregivers and tutors. Mentor mothers volunteer to parent the children and become like their mothers. Caregivers live with the children at the homes and take care of daily routines. Tutors are volunteers or employees, who should teach the children and take care of their social needs.

The homes in chronological order are:

- Udayan Ghar I in Sant Nagar, Delhi (Inception- March 1996), parents 12 girls.

- Udayan Ghar II in Mayur Vihar, Delhi (Inception- February 1999), parents 16 boys.
