Image of members of the Udall family, 1926. It is believed that this image is public domain as it was first published in the United States in 1959, in the book Arizona Pioneer Mormon: David King Udall, His Story and His Family, and the copyright was not renewed. It is further believed that even if the image were still copyrighted, that its appearance in the nonprofit Wikipedia article Udall family would constitute fair use under the copyright laws of the United States, as it illustrates the article in question, and that there are no (other) free images that can be substituted that would adequately give the same information .
